Join us for JONESVILLE JUBILEE -- the Eighth Annual Jonesville Historical and Community Day --- honoring those who share our appreciation of our region's history and heritage!
There is no charge for general admission and we anticipate expanded advertising this year -- as a precursor to Jonesville's 2011 Bicentennial celebration.
The Jubilee (formerly Old Jonesville Day) will be held in Jonesville's Lila Swaim Park on May 1, 2010 (9 am - 4 pm).
Vendors, historians, genealogists and artisans are invited to exhibit with us in one of three venues:
1. arts and crafts exhibits with or without sales
2. genealogy exhibits with or without sales
3. community-wide service agencies and/or promotions (Boy Scouts, local schools, Reeve's Theater, military groups, library, churches, Humane Society, etc.).
Sales exhibits will be charged $25, with $10 to be refunded at set-up. (Checks should be payable to Jonesville Jubilee.)
There will be no charge for non-sales exhibits.
Each exhibitor must register by April 25.
Historical and genealogy exhibits will be in the Senior Center.
Arts/Crafts and other exhibits will be in the lower park.
In addition to regional genealogy and arts and crafts exhibits, there will be Revolutionary War and Civil War re-enactments, story-telling, bingo, sky-diving, a vintage car show, games for the kids, Trolley Tours of Jonesville and the Mathis House, special prize drawings, live entertainment, family reunions, a JHS reunion, the second annual Yadkin Valley Talent Show and more ...
